Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started out in the form of an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina continued her career by getting bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, along with the title of 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012 she won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing, and took a long absence in MMA. She returned in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a unanimous vote before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina made use of superior striking and striking skills to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the clinch. Antonina was offered a UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim.
