Kelly Michelle Stables grew up in St. Louis in Missouri. She was a member of The Muny Opera. Kelly Michelle Stables graduated with distinction at The University of Missouri Columbia in Columbia, Missouri. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and Communication. After moving to Los Angeles she quickly got involved in theater arts acting and choreographing for more than two dozen musicals and plays such as The Little Foxes Brady Bunch: The Musical Peter Pan at the Thousand Oaks Civic Light Opera as well as 7 lead roles at LA's award-winning Storybook Theatre. Kelly began to land the roles for films and TV when she was studying improvisations in The Groundlings. It is her voice and diminutive stature that have made her able to play a variety of roles. Her collaboration together with Naomi Watts as Samara the antagonist In The Ring 2 is well recognized, but she's better recognized for playing the vibrant receptionist of Two and a Half Men. Kelly played a part in the main character on TV Land's The Exes which she played both a party-hopper and paralegal during the time of the day. Additionally, she played the sassy sister of Alyssa on ABC's Romantically Challenged. On the CW's No Tomorrow she portrayed the mother of a stressed suburban family. She's lent her singing soprano to a variety of animated shows, including Doc McStuffins Tom & Jerry Sofia the First. In the last few years, she has been known as the dim, but charming Cloud 9 employee on NBC's popular comedy Superstore. Her private life is one which is quiet with two children under the age of five. She loves to sew as well as write, and she is an active participant in various school activities.
